What is a block explorer?

A block explorer is a website that lets anyone read the public data recorded on a blockchain. Because blockchains are transparent, every transaction, address balance, and block is visible — a block explorer simply makes that data searchable and human-readable.

What you can find

With a block explorer you can verify whether a transaction succeeded, check an address’s balance and history, see the contents of a block, look up a token’s details, and confirm gas fees. You only need the relevant identifier: a wallet address, a transaction hash, a block number, or a token name.

Do I need an account?

No. Block explorers are read-only and public. Alltoscan never asks you to connect a wallet or sign in to look up data — reading the chain is free.

Alltoscan goes further than a single-chain explorer by covering nine networks at once. Learn more about that in what is a multichain block explorer, or jump to the search.
